Saturday, August 1, 2009 – School Tour – 11am
We were joined by the Class of 1984 for a tour of the school. There are new floors and and new passageways that weren’t there when we went to school there. More construction was underway, most notably… all the lockers were gone as new ones will be installed this summer. New athletic field is awesome… though I do feel sorry for the kids nowadays who won’t experience the “joys” of football in the mud and cinders in the knees when they fall on the track…

This is the hall to the right of the main entrance – where the guidance offices are.

Railings are new. Tile on walls is new. But look at those stairs – still the same ones we climbed! (What ARE they made of that they never show wear?)

Bridge to (from?) the Middle School

View out the windows of that passageway that goes from the History wing to where the home ec classes used to be (are?)… New athletic complex plus the Elementary School.

Library… the little glass study rooms are gone… so are the study carels.

Patty Nobbs Frey with Neil Hedin and his daughters. (Do you suppose the girls know that their grandma used to work in this room?)

No more encyclopedias or magazines… Just computers with internet access.

The stairway at the end of the math wing – the wing that had no second floor when we went to school there!

We took math in this classroom… No more chalk boards! (Brian Ceci looks out the window.)

Let’s all sing together… Ready?

Don Rendall, Dave Page, Don Pangborn, Jack Canada, Dan Lombardo.

Tony Pilato taking a picture of me taking a picture of him.

The principal is younger than we are. (Heck. The president of the United States is younger than we are.)

Randy Schroeder, Priscilla Schreck

The field was named in honor of the family who donated the land… (Remember Lawson’s Furniture Barn?)
Dinner at the War Vets’ – August 1, 2009, 6-10pm

Diana Cooney moved to JHS half way through her sophomore year, but she likes our reunions better! (Husband Mike)

WOW, so many folks I haven’t seen in years. I wish I could have been there to reconnect. I’m sure after 35 years apart there were some wonderful stories. Hopefully next time ’round I won’t have such unavoidable conflicts. Good to see you all (even if it was only in photos).

Jennifer, thanks for doing such a great job to make everything go so smoothly. It sounds like after seeing your great photo’s even more people are going to make the next reunion! Excellent!
