I have been an elementary school teacher in Jamestown for 24 years.  I had to take last school year off because I have a disease – my immune system attacked my liver.  I feel great now – I am in remission!

Our family has taken in a boy who had no place to live.  Dustin has lived with us 2 years this September.  He grew up in South Carolina on the streets.  He will be finishing this year at JCC.

Steve, my husband, sells natural gas and real estate for Century 21.  We have not experienced the Empty Nest adjustment of life – everyone is at home except for Tricia who loves to visit.

Sorry we cannot make it to the reunion this year!

Curry, Jim

Remarried Sept 15, 2007.
One more grandchild.

Curry Valdman, Sue

I’ve been married for almost 25 years (this September!) to Ron Valdman.  Ron is an Area Engineer for the Ohio Department of Transportation so we love orange barrels!!  Our son, Brian, is 19 years old and still ‘finding himself’.  (Clairol is my friend, have to hide those gray hairs!)

I have worked as a secretary for 23 years at BASF The Chemical Company (formerly Master Builders) in Beachwood, Ohio.  Mr. Snyder and Mrs. King would be so proud; apparently I WAS paying attention in their classes!

I moved to the Cleveland area when Ron and I got married.  We lived in Madison and Cleveland before we settled in Mentor 18 years ago.  Mary Kubik Kramer also lives in Mentor; although we still don’t get together as often as we’d like!!  I love living in Mentor; it’s only about a 2 hour drive from Jamestown so I’m able to go home frequently.  I can even make it there and back in one day; my dad always referred to that as when I ‘fly’ home!  You’ve got to watch out for those speed traps on 86… that’s why I love cruise control.

I look forward to catching up with everyone in August.

Denn, Dave

(His “brief update” section was blank.  Guess you’ll have to catch up with him at the reunion! – JS)

 Desmond, Shannon

I’m so sorry, I won’t be able to make it. Still in Iraq, coming to a critical point with the criminal cases on the insurgency, preparing for trial. Please tell everyone I said hello, wish I could be there.
Let me know how it went and if there are any pictures and/or printouts I would love to have some.
Take Care -

 Ebersole, Kate

I continue to live out on the Kortwright Road with my partner Beth.  We have been together 10 years and we also own a certified coaching business together along with a business partner in Erie PA.  I also work for a large HR consulting firm doing organizational training and facilitation.  Life is fun and interesting, and I am constantly learning new ways to help people get along at work.

I keep busy in my spare time with family outings, golfing, gardening and in my volunteer work, including being president of the board for our local Arts Council.  I have read where several people mentioned that they are still alive, well I don’t know that I have ever felt more alive in my life.  I thought being in my forties was great, but the fifties are fun!!  There is more permission to just be who I am and that feels great!

Eckholm, Mike
Married my wife Dawn in 2001 and we are living in Monroe NC since 2004. Working for Harris Teeter as a co-manager in the Charlotte area.

Have two children from a previous marriage, Brianna 24 and Branden 21. Have a 3-year old grandson Jaden. He keeps life interesting.

 Steven Edwards 2007Edwards, Steven
My oldest son is a senior in college majoring in environmental science-graduating in May.  My oldest daughter is a Spanish teacher in NC.  I have three younger children from a second marriage ages 9, 6, 4.  Keeps me busy.  I was a principal for 16 years.  Now I have my own company consulting with schools and school districts around the world.  You can check it out at www.realityedservices.com.  I don’t know if I will come to the reunion it will depend on our schedule.  It would be fun to see everyone.

Erickson Runge, Emily

I have been employed by Cornell Cooperative Extension – Chautauqua County for 31 years as an administrative assistant in their Agricultural Program department.

My husband, David, passed away in August 1999.

I have three children and five grandchildren.  My son Jeff and his wife Sheli have three boys: Dylan, Jerrett, and Derrick.  My son Trevor and his wife Jennifer have two boys:  Alexander and Matthew.  My daughter Lorie will be a senior at Binghamton University in the fall.

I enjoy spending time with my family, especially with my grandsons (four of them are under the age of five) – they are entertaining, sweet, and funny and as “grandma,” I can say, “Sure, why not!” to antics that mom and dad would say, “I don’t think so” to.  I am extremely proud of my daughter Lorie – she was only 11 when her father passed away.  She chose a path of behavior and education that would make her father proud.  I have been blessed with incredible children and I am truly thankful.

I am active in my church serving on the leadership council and preparing our monthly newsletter.

I look forward to retirement in June 2011 and have plans to travel and spend time with friends and family.  I have enjoyed my job very much over the years but feel the need to switch directions and do something different with my life.

 Faust Schroder, Colleen

I have been married to Thomas for 33 years and have 3 daughters and 3 grandsons.  Received my masters degree from Saint Bonaventure and worked as a counselor for several years.  I have 4 pot-bellied pigs and am involved in pig rescue.  My husband just retired.  He was a welfare case manager for the county.

I love to do yoga, read, hike, swim, etc.  Would love to move south someday!

Garfield, Liz

Although my favorite job description is “student”, I think I can finally say that I’ve been gainfully employed more years than I’ve been in school.  I was a chiropractor for many years, but “retired” from that a year and a half ago to accept a job at Naropa University here in Boulder.  I work with the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Academic Deans.  The best part is that I can walk to work with my yellow lab, Hudson.  Part of the walk is along Boulder Creek, which reminds me very remotely of the lake, which I miss so much.

I’m in a wonderful relationship with Ceal Barry, who used to coach women’s basketball at the University of Colorado.  We will be testing the strength of our relationship beginning in mid-July when we get a puppy, a yellow lab we plan to call Porter.  I’ve been to more basketball, football, volleyball and soccer games in the past 3 years than I ever thought possible.  Conversely, Ceal has been forced to adopt a vegetarian lifestyle, at least at home (I’m the cook), and has struggled mightily to accept that dog hair is now a part of her life, and black clothing, forever.

Green, Doug

Married to Donna. Daughter Kristin is here in VA with us – working at Dulles Airport for a large Freight Company. Son Dougie is in the ARMY as a infantryman – currently stationed in Iraq. Step Daughter Jenny is pregnant with her second child and her number one is 14 months old.

Working with Verizon on U.S. Govt Projects. I am blessed with a pretty good life…

Gunnell Cusimano, Kim

(Her “brief update” section was blank.  Guess you’ll have to catch up with her at the reunion! – JS)

Hedin, Neil

Chiropractor in Falconer, NY for 13 years.  Wife, Johanna teaches French and Spanish at Maple Grove High School.  Two daughters:  Sophia, age 5, Annika, age 1.

(P.S.  I added the picture, even though it is old…  Neil, if you send me a more recent one, I’ll post it! ~Jennifer)

Hollis, Kim

I continue to own my own business and am president of Lanier Property Inspections (www.LanierPropertyInspections.com). The last five years have truly been a blessing and we continue to enjoy our success. Golf and yard work are tops on my leisure time.

My wife Cathy works in the office for four doctors. The practice keeps her hopping. She enjoys tending to our sizable koi pond and going antiquing (aka “junking”).

Our oldest daughter, Sarah, was married last summer and blessed us with our first grandchild recently. We are proud grandparents of a baby boy! With the marriage we also gained two step grandsons as well. Grand kids are GREAT!

Our youngest daughter, Hilary, graduated form high school (with honors) in May and is attending college at Georgia in the fall. Soon we will be empty nesters.

We continue to live in Gainesville, GA on beautiful Lake Lanier. Wishing all of you a great time and sorry we can’t be there. Will you be gathering a roster of names and contact info? Email addresses and websites would be great. We’ll be with you guys in spirit.

Kates Cordosi, Cynthia

Married to Michael Cordosi for 12 years.  Two stepsons:  Michael who is serving in Iraq and Chris working at Signature Paving.  I worked at a bank for 18.5 years in data processing.  It moved to Albany, so I then got a job at Cummins, Inc.  I have been there for 15 years working on the Cam line as a planner.  I love animals and have 3 cats that were abandoned: Scrapper 17 years old, Sabrina 12 years old, and Tuxedo 2.5 years old.

Kubik Kramer, Mary

I will be married 28 years this November [2009] to Paul.  After working 28 years for the same company, Paul was layed off and has since started his own company, Entech Media Systems.  He does custom design and installation of audio, video, and automation systems in both homes and business.  It’s been a big change for us.

We have two children.  Our daughter Danielle graduated from the University of The Incarnate Word in San Antonio in 2007 and currently resides in Santa Clara, CA.  Our son, Matthew, will be a junior this year fall attending the University of Miami, Florida.

I am currently working part-time at Kohl’s Department Store.  When not working, I am volunteering at Altercare nursing home giving out ice cream to the residents and hopefully brightening their day a bit.  I also volunteer through an organization called Christ Child Society.  They have a clothing store where every member volunteers hours working at the store.  The profits all go to children and families in need.  Through this organization I also do vision screenings at area preschools.  It has been fun and rewarding working with the children.

Lombardo, Dan

(His “brief update” section was blank.  Guess you’ll have to catch up with him at the reunion! – JS)

McConnon, Jim

Public insurance adjuster. Married to Colleen. Three boys aged 19, 22, and 25. Two dogs. Enjoy riding with my bike club.

McMaster Drennen, Sharon

My husband Tom and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary June 9th and our only child Rachel turned 21 on the 13th of June. Rachel is a senior at Denison University, Granville, Ohio, graduating May 2010.

I have lived in Warren, PA 25 years, when I married the ‘Culligan Man’ in 1984. Tom owns and operates 3 stores in Warren, Erie and Meadville, PA. I have been a Dental Hygienist for 33 years – I must be old! I still love it and work in a great dental practice in Warren. I am sorry to miss the reunion but will be in Ohio with Rachel that same weekend. Have fun and I’ll be there with you all in spirit.

 Moran Dankovich, Nanner

Area Manager for Borders Group, Inc. for 23 years.  Married to Sam Dankovich for 34 years.  Son Josh is 28 and lives in Lake Wylie, SC.  Daughter Marcy is 26 and lives in Jamestown.

Mike and Kris Mosher KuhlMosher Kuhl, Kristine

I still work as a civil servant for the U.S. Navy in Dahlgren, VA as a computer scientist.  My wonderful husband Mike and I have been together for 20 years now.

Kids: 3 stepchildren, 2 grandkids
Delights: 2 cats and 2 basset hounds (our kids)
Hobbies: Maintaining the web site for our church. Stained glass if I ever get away from the computer long enough.
Accomplishments: No mortgage! This enables us to be more generous with church and charities.

Because of my husband’s 4 hour daily commute, we don’t have much time during the week. On the weekends we attend church and church functions and socialize with our friends. We also try to take as many vacations as possible, mostly in continental U.S. This year we will be going to Hawaii for the first time.

Nobbs Frey, Patty

Patty writes only this:  “Same old stuff, only five years later!”

Why do you mislead us so, Patty?  Some of us know lots more than that…  your move south… your current (really really cool) volunteer gig…  I guess you just want to tell folks that stuff in person?

Nohlquist Streed, Jan

See Streed below.

Przepiora, Tom

Since our last reunion my wife and I both experienced some health problems and decided to slow down a bit.   We put our properties up for sale in Ohio and purchased a home on the lake in Mayville.  Well, that didn’t work as we soon became bored.  So I started a small construction company and she signed on with Hospice Chautauqua County.  We both truly love what we do, and as far as retiring, I’ll probably be building my own box.

Gregg, our oldest, is married and doing well for himself in Ohio.  Matthew is currently in college and doing well also, although I think his goals have changed three times… THIS YEAR.

We love being back home and enjoy our weekends either boating or riding Harley  I also have joined the Jamestown Harmony Express, which is a men’s a’cappella chorus and I’m having a ball.

My best advice to all of you is to slow down while you can and always believe in and love your partner and everything else will fall in place.

Cecil and Nancy - on a Cruise!Raymond Westbrook, Nancy

I’ve been married for 27 years.  My husband Cecil is my best friend!  We had one son together, but lost him in a car accident on 12/9/2000.  I’ve worked for the State of Florida for 14 years as a secretary.  Cecil had a son from a previous marriage and we have three grandchildren from him and his wife.

Our son, Michael, was 16 1/2 when we lost him to a car accident.

Reed Stowell, Jennifer

Still happily living in Atlanta, GA with Cal and daughter Lily.  We live in a very active neighborhood so much of our time is socializing at the pool, tennis courts or party pavillion.  With a nine year old we get to bridge both generations – the old guys like us and those with young children!  Cal remains at Starbucks and I have nearly 20 years at IBM but I recently completed some specialized reading training in case I decide to go back to teaching special education students.  With a nine year old still at home, I will never retire!

 Rendall, Don

Spouse Sandy and I have lived in the same rickety old (1809) farm house in South Burlington, Vermont since 1993. We are proud parents of three — Sam, Kiki and Annie.

Sam, 25, graduated from Dartmouth in 2006. He lives in Jackson Hole, WY. When he is not skiing, hiking or fishing, he works full-time as a desk manager at Spring Creek Ranch resort. He refuses to trade jobs with me.

Kiki, 23, graduated from the University of Vermont Honors College in 2008, with a double-major in economics and history. She won a senior prize in economics for her honors thesis on central banking in developing countries. She lives in Burlington and works in the commercial lending group at a local bank. She bikes, runs, plays soccer and occasionally lets her father chase her down a ski trail.

Annie, 19, graduated from high school in 2008, where she was an all-state soccer and lacrosse player. She is finishing up a year off before college, spent working and ski racing. She won the 2009 US Eastern Championship women’s slalom and finished 12th in the 2009 US National Championship women’s slalom. She starts at Dartmouth this Fall, where she will compete on the ski team.

Sandy patiently puts up with me and works as Director of Client Services at Resolution, an e-commerce company. Now that she has completed a successful 20-year run of balancing work, helping at school, and getting to almost all of the kids’ plays, concerts, games, races, etc., she spends a lot of time tending her gardens and entertaining our two dogs, Abby and Lilly.

I continue to work as General Counsel at Green Mountain Power, a Burlington-based electric utility company. I spend winters on skis, summers on my bicycle; occasionally complete a death march around the golf course. Still run occasionally, but oh, so slowly . . . . I just started a two-year tour as chair of our regional United Way board of directors and will soon finish a year as chair of the board of our regional Chamber of Commerce.

My mom, Mary Blair, lives in Lakewood. She is healthy, active, and always beats me on the golf course.

Reynolds, Dick

Senior Vice President  – Investment  Office

Spouse – N.A.

Son – Sam, age 8

Roberts-Loyer, Wendy

Unfortunately, Kevin and I will not be able to attend this year.  We may have new owners of the ranch we care for.

We still have our 3 spoiled four-legged children, and love them dearly.  I plan to retire from United Airlines in less than 2 years and run a guest ranch.  We are both very excited about that.

Have a fabulous time at the reunion; we will be thinking of everyone.

Saxton, Mark

Owners of Jamestown Awning Inc.  Wife – Michelle, 2 kids – Britany and Jordan.  Retired from Quality Markets after 28 years.  Wish I would have played high school football and studied more.  Should have gone on to college.  Have a great life with a lot of family here in Chautauqua County.  Lead a sheltered life, but that’s OK.  Enjoy golf, boating, snowmobile, motorcycle.

Guess Who!Schreck Crisler, Priscilla
I am still working as a research technician / study coordinator at The Scripps Research Institute.  My husband and I live in sunny SanDiego and enjoy hiking and camping as much as possible.

(Pictured here with Jeff Butts at his son’s graduation in 2005.)

Ready to Tackle the TrailScott Schlick, Jennifer
I left my JCC teaching job for the Program Director position at Jamestown Audubon in 1998 and I’m still there!  I have one daughter in college and the other a junior at JHS.  When I was about to turn 50, my husband asked if I wanted a party.  I said, “No, I want a camera.”  I’ve been shooting ever since and blogging about it.  Check it out at A Passion for Nature.  Or check my photography site at Jennifer Scott Schlick – Photographer.  I like winter best, especially snowshoeing and cross country skiing.  Yes, that’s a Stormy Kromer hat I’m wearing.  Chic, eh?

(Sue Shaw Turnquist took this photo!)

Streed, Darryl and Jan Nohlquist

Jan and I married in July 2005.  We have 5 children between us and 3 grandchildren.  I am VP of Gas Operations for IDT Energy, and independent energy provider in New York State.  We also own JD Auto Sales, a small used car lot in Lakewood.  Jan owns JD Business Services, an accounting business in Lakewood.

Our hobbies are boating on Chautauqua Lake and playing with antique and/or fast cars.  We also snowmobile in the winter.  It’s tough when work gets in the way of your hobbies!!!

Neil and BarbieWilliams O’Brien, Barbara

I have been separated for a year now and will be divorced in May after being married for 23 years.  Met a wonderful man on the Internet about seven months ago and have been dating him since.  He has five children and four grandchildren.  He has one child age 14 living at home in which he is the sole parent of.  The three of us enjoy doing things together.  We went on a ski trip the end of February and have several things planned on weekends throughout the summer.

My son, Charles will be graduating from University Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) in May.  He has plans to continue to graduate school.  He comes home most weekends since he is only two hours away.  My daughter, Kelly is in her first year of college at Virginia Tech.  She is enjoying college life but likes to get home when she can.
