We sent invitations to teachers whose addresses we have. We invited them to fill out an update form, and to attend our August 1, 2009 reunion. We heard back from these:
Clark, Bruce
Still living in Lakewood – same ole place. Family is well and all in immediate area. My 5 kids and 10 grandchildren (5 boys and 5 girls) keep me busy, which is good.
I’m active in the Lakewood Fire Department as an EMT. I see a lot of my former students and their children. Sorry I can’t come; thanks for the inquiry.
Lingenfelter, Tom
Retired since 1993. Helping babysit my grandchildren Max 2.3 years old and Jack 5. years old. Sorry I can’t attend this year.
Matteson, Boyd
Retired from teaching in 1991. Joined my brother in partnership for Matteson Homes building modular homes for many years. Continue membership and participation in NYS Track Association for over 40 years. Traveled out west, to Mediterranean and Hawaii in last 3 years.
Sorry I can’t attend. We have a family reunion in the 1,000 Islands that weekend.
Plyler, Anne
I am on the staff at the Prendergast Library, where I would be delighted to see any classmates who may stop in.
Priester, Tom
Retired in 1998 from teaching and in 2006 from coaching. The highlight of my last 5 years is our new athletic complex which is finally completed. You all should be proud of ths first class facility!
My grandkids’ athletic prowess is next. I love watching them play all sports.
I will miss seeing everyone. I’m officiating the National Junior Olympic Track and Field Chapionships in Greensboro, NC.
Go Trojans!

I may be int he Jamestown Area 8/1/09. If I am, I’ll come by the reunion, but not for dinner.
Stowell, Timothy
I have been retired from SWCS for 7 years. Thank you for thinking of me. I can’t join you this year – my daughter’s wedding.
Travis, Jerry
Ah yes, life in retirement. Can it be 35 years since we were in classrooms together? can it be 15 years that I and my wife have lived in Sun City West? Can it be 14 years that I’ve be a starter at one of our local golf courses (nearly a second career)? Yes to all the above. What do I do to stay out of trouble? I work at a golf course three days a week; I golf the other four days; I read voluminously, voraciously, sometimes two books a week; I putz around on the computer way too much of the time; I continue to write – a fourth novel called Life in the Arbor, a children’s story about some of the animal friends I’ve made in my backyard; a presumed final episonde in the Travis McGee novels by John D. MacDonald called The Black Widow, but one which I couldn’t get permission from the MacDonald family to publish, so I changed it to a private detective in Arizona; a memoir called It’s a Doggy Dog World, and a work in progress called Happy Valley. Any of you whou would like to check them out on my website or read some of my blogs may do so at jerrytravisnovels.com.
