Rosemary Virgith Swanson

rosemaryRosemary Swanson, 59, of Baker Street Ext., Ashville, passed away peacefully, Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, in her home, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born May 22, 1956, in Titusville, Pa., the daughter of Robert and Harriett Parker Vergith Sr.

Rosemary had cooked many years at several local restaurants. She and Rod had recently purchased the Boomerang Restaurant in Busti, where she continued to cook as she loved. She also was an avid baker, known for holiday confections.

Surviving besides her parents of Busti are her husband, Rodney Swanson, whom she married Feb. 14, 1993; a son, Jonathan Coon of Celoron; a daughter, Rachel (Harold) Roberts of Bear Lake, Pa.; a step-son, Cory (Jennifer) Swanson of Kansas; a step-daughter, Terri (Mike) Stoll of Centralia; eight grandchildren, Alexander, Harley, Alexandria, Chance, Tyler, Zachary, Paige, and Keith; three sisters, Nancy (Dave) Burnett, Susie (Dave) Klice, and Sandy Hamilton; and two brothers, Robert (Lorraine) Vergith Jr, and Carl (Kathy) Vergith.

She will be remembered most by all that knew her for her enormous heart and complete selflessness. Her motherly affection reached more than her children. She offered a shoulder to all in need.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, in the Lind Funeral Home.

No formal funeral service will be observed.
